Nanao was first published in 2004. Up until that point, I was engrossed in reading all of the kimono books I had read, filled with kimonos and sashes that I dreamed of being able to own someday, but at the same time I was always sighing in longing for the items that were hard to come by. Nanao, which was first published in my early twenties when I was obsessed with kimonos, became my bible for my kimono life. I remember my 20s... I had nothing to do with saving money, so I had to look at my passbook and regret it, but it was fun. I made many mistakes, but they are all good memories.
