A netsuke capturing the scene of a black cat leaning out from a belt trying to grab a bell.

This is a rare design where the motif and the base are integrated.

The upper body is three-dimensional, and the lower body is shaped as a netsuke board with reduced thickness, so it fits securely even when inserted into an obi.

It was created with the image of a mischievous kitten in mind, and has slightly larger eyes and a smaller face than the calico cat, which comes in different colors.
