This year, it's summer again, and we can take off our masks. Events have resumed in earnest, and the Asagaya Tanabata Festival will be held for five days from August 4th to 8th for the first time in four years. We will provide more details about our store's business during the Tanabata Festival from tomorrow onwards, but basically, we will be closed for yukata dressing, Japanese sewing classes, workshops, and shopping in the store. The Japanese sewing classes will be held as usual on Tuesdays and Saturdays, August 5th (Sat) and August 8th (Tue), at 13:30 and 19:00, so please apply early if you are interested. We will also be holding a temporary workshop on making Azuma bags . Why not try Japanese sewing in our air-conditioned store for 90 minutes during the Tanabata Festival? We look forward to your participation!
Our store is about a 3-minute walk from Minami-Asagaya Station on the Marunouchi Subway Line, and about a 9-minute walk from JR Asagaya Station, but lately I've only been using Minami-Asagaya Station on the subway. The other day, I passed by the ticket gate of JR Asagaya Station for the first time in a while and witnessed the rumored "Asagaya Sisters Jacking JR Asagaya Station!"! It was so amazing that I laughed.
A special collaboration between JR East and our local idol Asagaya sisters! Asagaya Station is now Asagaya Sister Station! Asagaya Station is filled with smiling faces everywhere in Asagaya Station, including banners, stair step decorations, escalator belt decorations, and wall posters on the platform stairs. (The Asagaya Station-limited poster will only be displayed until August 6th, so after the 7th, will the poster be switched to the Tanabata Festival poster?) The collaboration period will end on September 30th.
When customers come to Asagaya from far away and come across our store by chance, we sometimes ask them about their reason for coming to Asagaya, and one of them says, ``I was wondering if I could meet the Asagaya sisters.'' As far as I can remember, there were three groups. Will I be able to meet the Asagaya sisters without fail now? So please come and visit Asagaya!
