A Nagoya obi made from fabric that came from Malawi, Africa.
The lining that can be seen slightly is made with African fabric.
Material: Cotton
Length: Approximately 364 cm. Due to the particular direction of the pattern, we have added hooks in areas that cannot be seen when worn.
Our Japanese tailors, who are part of saasaawa, a Japanese tailoring unit that uses African fabrics to create kimonos and obi belts, have put their hearts into making these.
The owner, Kato, who wants to live with reptiles someday, asked me to make one for him. Chameleon somehow? Doesn't it look like that?
Please read this before making a purchase.
As with Japanese Chusen dyeing, there may be uneven colors and prints when dyed. We hope you enjoy it as a taste of dyeing.
Before tailoring, the Japanese seamstress himself runs the garment through water to make sure there is no extreme discoloration, but there is a possibility that the discoloration may occur to some extent. Please be careful about the kimono you wear.
The color may fade if it gets wet. Please use dry cleaning for laundry.
